If it’s possible to have pupils as members of the Action Team then this should be encouraged. However this is not compulsory for early years.
The Eco-Schools programme is designed to be flexible, centres should think about how it will work best for them.
Whilst it is adults who drive the Action Team it is important that the entire centre community are informed about decisions and involved in the projects that will take place.
The role of the Action Team is to:
The size of the Action Team and how often it will meet may depend on the size of the centre. However, the Action Team must keep records of their decisions and minutes of their meetings should be reported back to the Senior Management team.
