Eco-Schools National Award Ceremony 2019

Nominations for the very first Eco-Schools England National Award Ceremony at the world-famous Etihad Stadium on Thursday 12th December 2019 are NOW CLOSED. The Eco-Schools team now begin the difficult process of choosing award winners from the many inspirational and outstanding applications.

On the day, there will be 16 Eco-Schools Award Winners including:

  • Ten Eco-Schools Topic Award Winners
  • Three Eco-Schools of the Year Award Winners (covering different age ranges)
  • Eco-Coordinator of the Year
  • Eco-Schools Green Flag Assessor of the year
  • Eco-Schools lifetime achievement Award

Each award winner will be contacted during the week beginning 4th November and will be invited to bring 6 pupils and 2 adults to our Eco-Schools National Award Ceremony hosted by Steve Backshall.

Eco-Schools Topic Awards

An award for each of our ten Eco-Schools topics for schools that demonstrate the most innovative, inspirational and effective action(s) for one of our ten topics (open to any registered Eco-School).

Eco-School of the Year Award

For schools from a variety of age ranges who can demonstrate they have best used the Eco-Schools programme to impact their school and local community (only open to current Green Flag award-winning schools).

Eco-Coordinator of the Year Award

For one Eco-Coordinator who has gone above and beyond to promote and incorporate the
Eco-Schools programme into school life (only open to current Green Flag award-winning
Eco-Coordinators).
