Energy #EcoSchoolsAtHome

One week down and a huge thank you to everyone who downloaded and used our Biodiversity #EcoSchoolsAtHome resource last week. We really enjoyed seeing all of your actions being carried out even by Eco-Schools from around the world! Keep sharing with us on Facebook, Twitter and Insta.

We realise that some schools may ‘technically’ be on their Easter break now, however we are going to keep producing a new topic resource every week throughout April as all actions can be used; at home or in school, during the week or at weekend and during term time or break. We’ll leave it to you to decide what works best, just have fun.

So ‘watt’s’ the Eco-Schools topic for this week? Sorry we have been in quarantine for too long…Energy! This week we have lots of ideas, again suitable for all ages to help not only save the planet but also some money too. These energy actions can all be completed individually or as a family and follow on nicely from Earth Hour on Saturday. There are some great links to the ‘current’ maths, geography and science curricula this week too that will ‘spark’ your interest. Please let us know ‘watt’ your energy savings were at the end of the week. (Ok we’ll stop now!)

Remember to also email us if you have any ideas for how we could make our resources more inclusive and any ideas you may have for future topic resources, next week’s topic Global Citizenship, get in touch: eco-schools@keepbritaintidy.org

Stay safe and well
Lee, Francis, Karyn and Shona
