Ten Topics

Our ten Eco-Schools topics will allow you to run environmental projects that you and your classmates are passionate about. Whatever actions your Eco-committee decide to work on they should sit neatly under one or several of the ten topics. Please remember one action could cover multiple topics depending on how it is carried out, for instance if you are working on ways to lower water usage in school you could also investigate how water is used in other Eco-Schools around the world; covering both the Water and Global Citizenship topics.

Speak to your friends and teachers to find out what is already happening in your school. Different year groups or departments maybe working on other local and national campaigns such as RSPB Big Schools Birdwatch or Operation Christmas Child – these can ALL be included in your Action Plan and will be accepted as topic evidence for your Green Flag application. Use our international Eco-Schools Green Flag Award to bring together and celebrate all the environmental work your school is doing #Togetherstronger
